Kiargo - Swimswear for Curves!

Swimsuits in Winter? Has she gone crazy?

No not at all I'd honestly rather go swimming indoors in the winter that spend my days on the beach during the summer. My pale Irish skin hates the sunlight as you will see my skin is very, very fair! This is how my body and my legs look all year round, the only editing on these images is colour related my skin has not been 'touched up' in any way.

So I wanted to feature a local Australian brand who I've discovered this year so you guys can start planning your summer swimmers in advance. To my northern hemisphere readers I'm so very jealous of your weather right now so I hope these images give you some inspiration to hit the beach in style!

I would like to introduce you to Kiargo An Australian label established in 2006 by designer Jessica Holmes.

Inspired by retro and vintage styling they offer tailored shapes with great covereage and hidden structure that enhances assests and controls problem areas.

The ranges offer mix and match styles in seperates, stunning one peice suits and cover ups. You can get all styles in sizes 8-18, cup A to E, yes up to an E cup!

I've tried, shot and worn the following styles and I am in love! The designs, fit and styles blew my mind! I am wearing a size 16 in all garments. All of these styles come with underwire and 2 of the styles have removable padding/inserts.

I saw this at the start of summer in black and white and instantly swooned over the bust and pipping but now that I have it in this bright print I'm loving it so much more. This sucks in my tummy so much its magic! The bust and cups (with padding) really push up your bust and create an amazing shape! The straps on al these garments are adjustable so you can get the perfect fit and lift and control your cleavage.

Blaze Belconette Bra Top (I can't find this online sorry)

Suitable for cup sizes DD to E this is so comfortable and supportive, almost as great as my favorite bra! The bright funky print is something I would usually not be drawn to but the more I see look the more fond I become. I think it really goes well with my hair colour.

Nancey Ruched Brief (contact the designer for more details)

Skirted bottom with a high waist you can wear this at your belly button or move it lower on your hips. These are really comfortable bottoms but don't have as much tummy flattening power as the suit above.

The belt is just an accessory I've added to finish of the suit, Though it would not work in the water. Adding a canvas style belt or another fabric to would work much better.

Paloma One Piece $167.95

This is my favorite out of all 3 suits! I'm a sucker for black and I always will be. The cross over bust, simple design and fit ticks all boxes in my Swimsuit want list. Its slimming and supportive, sturdy and thick. As you can see this suit also flattens the tummy also! It is suitable for C to E cups and is suitable for women that have had Mastectomy's but this style also works for me with the removable padding.

I also wanted to add my own 'style' to the suits (the belt to the 2 piece) and to the black one piece as shown above a simple hat and kaftan. The hat was purchased last year at Target but you can find them on ebay very cheaply. The Leopard Print Kaftan is now down to $10 from Supre.

If you are looking for a new swimsuit I suggest you invest in a suit from Kiargo they will last you through many seasons and hug you in all the right places. To purchase these amazing swimsuits please click on the website link and look for your local stockist. You can also purchase Kiargo from :
