Pleather, Floral and Lace - Oh My!

Its officially jacket weather in Melbourne and I'm far too excited about this! I love rugging up, wearing layers and as many snuggly accessories I can get my hands on.

So as as the weather starts to get chilly my jacket collection grows larger and larger. City Chic have some amazing new stock and winter must haves right now and these are my 3 favorite pieces.

This jacket fits like a dream in a size XS. Super soft and figure hugging it even has enough room for a long sleeve medium thickness top to be worn underneath. I've always been a fan of military styles and the button detailing on the front of this jacket won me over instantly. Because its a very soft pleather it has a small amount of stretch and really molds to your shape. I have larger upper arms and they fit nicely in this style without any issues.

I'd like to introduce you to my new Disco Pants - $122 from American Apparel. These babies are amazing! They are skin tight, super stretchy and form fitting and I have to admit they are one of my new obsessions. They also come in blue, red, grey and purple and I'm wearing these in a size Large. I never thought I'd by pants like this but seeing Laura Wells in these back in March I knew I could pull it off. These pants also have the earned the name 'The Sensational Pants' due to comments given when I worn them out over the weekend.

My shoes Lita in Distressed Leather $159.95 from Jeffrey Campbell. JC shoes are my other obsession. These give you great height, look amazing and the best part of all they are so comfortable! The heel/platform means you can wear them all day without any issues, I even wear mine shopping. There are so many different styles, colours and fabrics in this boot I want the blue ones next.

This is the one jacket that people were weary about on the facebook page but I love it! I need more colour and print in my life so I wanted to show just how much this one item can pop if you pair it up with your basic blacks. I added a waist belt for a little more definition and to break up the print on my top half. The fit of this jacket is very snug but the cut is really flattering. It cuts in and the hips really showing of an hour glass shape. I will wear this with jeans, pencil skirts and little black dresses all winter.

Lace Driving Gloves from Sportsgirl (instore) be careful wearing this stretch lace as it is very delicate and these are my second pair of gloves.

This skirt is so cute! I usually would not wear so much puff on my hips but I think the high waist really compensates for all that fabric bellow. Now I would usually wear this with stockings or tights but I wanted to show of my shoes. When worn at the waist this skirt under my behind but shows nothing. There is also enough stretch in the elastic waistband to wear it on your hips if you want a longer length. I'm wearing this with my pussy bow shirt which is 4 -5 years old by now, but this also looks really cute with any solid colour tee, skirt or bodysuit.

I'm also wearing my Foxy Fab in Black Tapestry -$129.95 from Jeffrey Campbell. These have the same heel and platform as the boots above and are equally as comfortable.

There are so many new style jackets to choose from here is a little speak of what's on offer right now.

Thank you to my always awesome blog photographer Michael Alesich from Lucky & Rice for braving the cold and rain to shot this with me.

  4. I bought the floral puff sleeve jacket the other day. I'm bigger than you (wearing an XL) and don't have much of a waist to speak of and it gives me one, big time! Not being particularly busty or broad shouldered for my size (ahh, the curse of the apple shape) jackets are usually too big over the shoulders down to the bust, but not this one. I love that it has some stretch for all-day wearability too. I have just been waiting for it to be cold enough. So excited!
You look babing as always, my dear!
