Opulence

It's time for another review of my favourite new items from City Chic. I'm forever window shopping the CC new arrivals section and these three amazing pieces jumped out at me instantly.

I might be stuck at home but I can still feel amazing in the Opulent Dress in a stunning silky black fabric. This piece is a faux wrap, figure hugging, almost art deco style evening dress with the comfort of a silky robe.

With a cross over fitted style skirt, asymmetrical hem line and deep plunging neckline this dress really does help your curves pop. Beneath these figure hugging pleats and wraps you will also find a super fitted underskirt - I've got huge hips verses my waist size so I needed to shimmy my way into the underskirt.

I'm wearing this piece in the 16/Small and it's a firm fit without any stretch so be sure to double check the size chart as there is no wiggle room. The billowing sleeves also make this style live up to the opulent name and I'm hopping that this might be released as a blouse in the future or even a swing style in jewel tones.

Next we have my ultimate work wear/daily look. The perfect mixture of classic styling, pinup prints and the most amazing neckline I've every worn on a jumper.

The wild at heart jumper has a elbow length sleeve, bold black cuff and sweetheart neckline and a light brown tiger print. While I'd usually not go directly for this print the pairing of the bold black accents really make it shine and the sweetheart neckline does wonders for my chest. This is a size 16 and the fit is spot on. Lots of stretch and super comfortable, this jumper also hits just at your waist so it's perfectly paired with high waisted skirts.

I've paired this little jumper with the classic black pleated skirt with matching belt. I've loved the pleated styles for the last few seasons but I've never found one that works. Luckily City Chic knows curves and plus size figures and this piece is perfect on my hour glass shape.

I tend to worry that having big hips I might make a pleat pop but this fabric skims over my curves and really flatters my shape. I'm wearing this in a 16/Small as well and the fabric has a little stretch at the waist and can be make tighter with the waist belt.

I'm absolutely smitten with this combo and can't wait to mix and match this skirt with other button ups and cardigans in my collection. I can't get enough of these pieces and next on my lust list has to be the Harley Rip Corset Jean - lead, Tie Detail Pant - black, Criss Cross Jumper - black. Can I have it all please? I'm living daily in city chic!

Now lets chat shoes! I've become a huge fan of the Pink Label styles from Pleaser as I'm a size 11US and they have such an amazing selection available. If you don't know yet the Pink Label brand creates stunning styles from sizes a US9 to US17.

For my last order I purchased an amazing set of super high heels but I also wanted something smaller and unique for nights out or daily wear. The Dream-432 heels are the simple chic with a little bit of fetish styling mixed in.

Featuring a stretchy thick ankle strap with lock and key adornments these are so comfortable an unique. The 4 inch heel is easy to wear all day and I'm loving this unique creation.

The silver lock and key feature really makes these stand out and I'm already planning to order the other two colour ways.
