Midnight Meadows

I'm forever lusting after each and every release from BlackMilk clothing be it gothic, florals, Harry Potter or those day in and day out basics. With every sneaky preview or Look Book, I'm behind my laptop screen screaming GET ON MY BODY!!!

Recently I snapped up two pieces that are a little different from my go to styles but I was super keen to see how they would work on my curves.

This winter has been all about tweed, plaid and classic fabrics paired with black accessories. So obviously the Mono Squared Up dress was a must have. While I've tried lots of Blackmilk necklines the bold square shape is completely new for me. This neckline really rocks with my chest, and I think many more straight across cuts need to be added to my wardrobe.

Made from our more lightweight fleece-lined Toastie Light fabric this is the perfect go to dress if you want effortless style and lots of comfort. With a traditional skater skirt, fitted bodice, long sleeves and pockets this piece is both figure flattering and stylish.

The fleece lined fabric gives you that extra warmth during winter and the start of spring and it's so soft to the touch. I opted for the Longline length as I find some of the standard shorter skaters are a bit too tiny on my body.

I cant wait to style this with bold chunky belts or even a harness. The print looks amazing when paired with black accessories so my styling possibilities are endless. I'm wearing this style in an XL, and it's form fitting with just the right amount of stretch.

Sheer black printed flowing fabric, soft layers and a super sweet gathered at the bust and sleeve - now that's perfection in my books. With almost an old world feel the Midnight Meadows dress is perfection for anyone super busty like myself.

This piece features a delicate sheer black fabric covered in black flocked stars, lined skirt and front of the bodice and a sheer back panel. The gathered bust and adorable sleeves mold to your shape and really compliment the curves of your bust and waist. Almost like a peasant style blouse which is one of my go to shapes, this dress can be worn on or off the shoulder.

The short skirt lining makes the print POP on your legs, arms and back. Plus this sheerness is great to style with tights (black or bold colours), long boots or a simple ballet flat. I've opted to show the most skin and paired this with a black heel but you can create lots of looks and pair other bright colours under the sheer flocked fabric.

While I'm not a fan of sheer or open back garments I do love how stunning this dress is so I've worn a higher back bodysuit with this piece so my bra is hidden. You can also pop on a slip beneath this piece if you want a little more back coverage.

I'm wearing this style in an XL, and I've actually found it to be super stretchy. That much I think I could have easily sized down to size Large as the bodice works with your shape and stretches nearly a size large. The same applies to the sweet little ruffled sleeve as they can accommodate any sized upper arm.

These two amazing pieces are going to be on high rotation as the weather warms up and I'm going to be living my summer goth dreams out in the Midnight Meadow dress on those super hot evenings.

I Heart Aurora

After the absolute success of my first Wax Poetic Clothing order I knew it would only be a matter of months until I got my hands on a few newer pieces. I've been eyeing off the Aurora for a while in tow stunning prints but it wasn't until the Red Rose version was released that I knew I'd found my perfect wrap dress.

A true wrap style featuring an extra long waist tie, flattering flutter sleeves, and a super soft brushed fabric that feels like pure magic to wear.

I swear I could wear only wrap dresses for the rest of my life and die happy. The Aurora is stunning, so very comfortable as I can adjust the fit as loosely or as tight as I may need depending on the day. I can adjust the bust to show as much or as little of my cleavage as wanted.

The large red, pink and white rose print is a piece of art. I'm usually all about a tiny floral print but there is something so very magical about this large size rose fabric.

There is something so very magical about the flowing sleeves on this dress and I think it's safe to say that  this style sleeve is now my ultimate. The way the fabric delicately falls over my upper arm is amazingly flattering and so chic.

I'm wearing an XXL and the fit is around a half a size larger on me that I should it may be but due to the wrap styling it's not an issue. I simply tie the extra long waist tie tighter for the perfect fit.

Emma Dress - TBA coming soon

Next I was lucky enough to get the sample for a new style that's not even hit the website yet!!! The Emma is a perfect little Mod style dress with some of the most figure flattering tailoring features I've ever come across.

The traditional short Mod mini style with appropriately positioned darts on the bodice to give a form fitting and slimming shape. I'm usually not one to wear a short sleeve, high necked mod dress but as soon as I wriggled into this little maroon number I instantly fell in love.

I love the fit, the soft fluffy fabric and how it really does show off my curves in the best kind of way. I'm wearing this in a XXL and the fabric is super stretchy and amazingly comfortable.

Styling wise I've paired this with absolutely nothing as it's such a cute little frock to start with! But I'll be wearing this to work asap and styling it with either a cardigan or moto jacket. Now I need to hunt for a cute pair of gogo boots to match!

The brilliant crew at Wax Poetic Clothing have offered you my lovely readers a discount code! So you can snap up any of these pieces or one of many stunning tops, skirts or dresses from the webstore. Just use the code CURVES when checking out and you'll get 15% off your order!!

Oh Lola

I'm not sure if you've noticed yet but I'm a little bit of a shoe freak! With an ever expanding collection I'm always on the look out for stunning new designs by brilliant brands.

Around two years ago I feel head over heels (yep totally when there) with Lola Ramona and today I'm super excited to be able to share two of my absolute favourite pairs from their latest release. Both in eye-catching bright colours and a mixture of fabrics these have already become my absolute fave's and I've only owned them for a few day.

These dreary winter days call for bright red patent leather hells to add a little more fun to my wardrobe and a little more bounce in my step. This season Lola Ramona and Top Vintage have collaborated on collection of stunning shoes to cover all your retro footwear needs.

The Eve is a 60s inspired  Mod Block Heel Pump in Burned Red created with the highest quality patent leathe and features a  T-strap, an adjustable ankle strap and brogue detailing. All of these design features combined create one of the most comfortable heels I've ever owned - perfect for all day wear or dancing the night away.

What I love most about these heels has to be the brogue detailing and the lifechanging ankle strap. Gone are the days of threading as thin strap through a tiny little buckle. With these amazing design features you can simply slide in and secure your straps without any fuss. Both styles in this review feature this design and I'm not sure how I've lived without it for so long.

For this post I've paired both of the Lola Ramona heels with some large fishnet stockings from BlackMilk Clothing. I love how dainty yet rock and roll a fishnet looks combined with a vintage looking heel and cherry red shade of these mod heels looks amazing with a bold black fishnet.

Just look at that shine! I'm actually wearing these at work today with a black stocking and they look just as cute.

This style is also available in both Grass Green shade and a traditional brogue Black and White version. I'm that smitten with this style I'll be ordering another colour way asap.

Angie Warm-up in Curry  - €160.00

If there is one colour lacking in my footwear collection it has to be yellow. There is something really magical about heels in this shade but I only have one pair in a very easter friendly bold yellow and that's not ok!

So when I saw the Angie Warm Up heels in this curry/mustard shade they had to be mine. The Angie is one of the most popular and comfortable Lola Ramona heels and one I already own in a slightly different design.

These heels are accentuated with the beautiful striped heel, extra foam foot bead and a super soft suede outer. Creating a bold, whimsical and super fun high heel that's a dream to wear.

These feature that brilliant simple slide ankle strap and I swear to you my lovely readers that you will be blown away with the extreme comfort of these 10cm heels. The extra padding makes theme feel like flats and you'll not even notice the height.

I'm crazy for the colour combo in this air of Angie and how amazing they look with or without stockings. I have so many plans for these over the next few months so be sure to look out for them in some spooky shoots. If Curry is not your colour preference never fear as they are also available in black, pink and green. You can find each colour way and all the new released in the New Arrivals section of the website.

Heart of Haute Lust List

Have you swung by Heart of Haute's new arrival section this week? There has been an influx of stunning prints, styles and classic shapes and a few restocks. I'm currently lusting after these stunning pieces.

In my mind there is nothing more chic and flattering than a wrap dress and the Rachel Wrap has been number one on my HOH lust list for a while now. The stunning drape, that perfect wrap fit and what might be the most perfect sleeve known to many kind. The Rachel Wrap has arrived in a black based cherry print, and I need it in my world. I tend to wear this style and most wraps in a 1XL.

Restock alert on the Super Spy Dress in Burgundy. I own this piece in basic black, and it's the cutest little mod wiggle. Super comfy, perfect for work or play and this deep red shade is amazing for Autumn and Winter.

Can you tell I have an ever so slight obsession with wrap dresses? They move from season to season with ease, and you can style them up or down, pair them with winter warmers or more summer/spring friendly pieces.

The Rayleine has a few new prints, but I'm currently lusting after the black or red polka dot prints. I've got this style in two prints already an it's super comfortable in a 1XL.

Heart of Haute are the best retro repo brand to help busty girls fit into button up blouses and dresses. The Betty Lou is a style I'm super keen to get my paws on asap and the Bee Bop print is adorable! The question is do I order green or orange? For a button up style I tend to order my standard 2XL.

More perfect pencil skirts with POCKETS!! The world needs more wiggles with pockets. Super comfortable and flattering while suiting all sizes and shapes. Somehow I've run out of wiggles in my collection so these would be a great addition.

Lastly my all time favourite blouse from HOH the Ella! This amazing style pairs perfectly with a more busty figure and I've been wearing these for years. Heart of Haute have two new prints in the Ello in a baby blue and more bold blue. The Mandies Bee's made me giggle as soon as I read the name and I really adore the little critters on the fabric. I love the scooters as well so choosing one is going to be hard! Be sure to stick to your bust measurement with this style so you can get the best fit. I wear this in a 2XL.

What's on your Heart of Haute Lust List?
