Love From Pixie

For years I've loved the classic pinup updo/bandana combination but I've never really been able to perfect it.  Well so I thought until now!!

Love from Pixie is a hair accessory range available at Pinup Boutique and they have created the no fuss, stunning and simple to wear range of bandana's. Made from adorable cotton fabrics and features a wired bow so you don't have to worry about getting it tied perfectly, it will stay put all day long!

Red Polka Dot Bandana- $15.00

My stand out favorite as the polka dot print is adorable. Now all I need is a top, cardigan and dress to match up with this headband.

Photobucket
White Bandana - $15.00

Some classic colours and styles to suit just about everything in your wardrobe. White for nautical outfits and pastels.
Photobucket

Black Bandana - $15.00

The black the core shade to suit pretty much everything you could possibly wear. I wear black mostly so this  one is perfect in my collection.

Right now you can also find leopard, pink gingham, red or black polka dot and cherry print with lace trim. Just check out the Hair Accessories page.

For these shots I did a simple hair style many small victory rolls/curls all over my head but leaving room for the bandana to sit flat at the front. You can also wear your hair down with these headbands (just fold the largest area over in half) and with a high pony tail.

Introducing : Sucre Noir

One of my all time favorite Australian photographers Shauna Phoon, the most creative and crafty girl I know has recently started her own accessory company  - Sucre Noir. This week I was lucky enough to see her amazing items first hand and model for her venture!

Sucre Noir is a label for the sweet and strange, for those who want quirky statement pieces for guys and girls. This shop is brand spanking new!! I'm so excited to be able to share this with you!!!

So early on Wednesday morning we met up in a beach side suburb in Melbourne, hunted down the most adorable hidden park and set up camp. Shauna wanted to capture my style and how I would wear the items and I think the results are brilliant! Assisting on this shoot was the every so brilliant Michael from Michael V Couture. It was an absolute hoot to work with these two amazing and creative people!

Here is what we got up to :

Photobucket

Acrylic bodies joined by a linking chain, the twins are perfect for holding your cardis together. Available in 3 different choices of chain and can double up as a brooch. These Skeletwins are the most adorable addition to your favorite cardigan or jacket. The pink makes these little twins just pop!

Photobucket

American Apparel Easy Jean (I'm wearing size L)  - $116.00

How amazing are the high waisted Easy Jeans? They are the perfect style jeans for any woman who has a strong hourglass shape. These are a skin tight/painted on jean. They have less stretch than my disco jean but still fit fantastically and give great shape (the rear is amazing). I'm wearing these in a size L and have 2 other colours in this style but I'm also getting them in one size up for every day wear. I want to have the supper tight fit for nights out or more dressy styles and a roomier size for casual or work outfits. I'll be doing a full shoot on my other colours in the next month so check back.

Love Pokemon? Then you'll love this Pokemaster necklace in 3mm red acrylic. Wear it low with a white tee or shorter with a simple snip of the ballchain.

3 gorgeous outfits for a day date

I'd like to welcome a guest/sponsored post article to you my readers. A little how to guide for dressing for dates. Hope you enjoy!

3 gorgeous outfits for a day date

If you’re going on a day date, you need to wear something casual but stylish and attractive. If you’re looking to dress an hourglass figure, then you want to accentuate your waist and slim down your hips. Here are 3 ideas for gorgeous outfits to wear on a day date.

1. A pretty dress

If your day date is still going to be relatively formal – if you are going out for lunch, say – then a pretty dress is the perfect choice. As it’s a more laidback date, you don’t want to wear anything too revealing. Go for a scoop-neck cut instead of a plunging neckline, as this will still flatter your bust without showing too much skin.

While an LBD is perfect for the evening, you want to opt for something a bit funkier to suit a relaxed daytime atmosphere. Choose a pretty pattern or bright colour that you think reflects your personality. To make your dress look more casual, wear it with flats or boots and opaque tights.

“eHarmony

A vibrant skirt and top

If you feel your dresses are all too formal, then go for a patterned skirt and figure-hugging top. A maxi-skirt will make your legs seem longer, while a knee-length one allows you to show off your slender ankles. Avoid skirts that are structured around the hips as they’ll swamp your curvaceous shape. Go for a wrap-around skirt that slims your stomach and wear a tight top to show off your bust.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with fun prints and vibrant colours, as these will show your date a fun side to your personality. However, if you do go for a patterned skirt, then keep your top plain. Large patterns all over your outfit can make you look shorter and wider.

Casual jeans with a chic shirt

If you’re going on an active day date, such as a long beach walk or a romantic picnic, you’ll probably feel more comfortable in a pair of jeans or trousers. Avoid skin-tight materials that taper at the ankles as they’ll accentuate the size of your hips. If you’re wearing tight jeans, break them up with some sexy knee-length boots. You’re better off looking for a pair with a straight leg that will streamline your frame, or bell-bottoms, as these will balance out your hips. Make your outfit more glam by wearing a v-necked shirt and a vintage neck-scarf.

Photobucket

And remember!

  • Make sure you wear the right size clothing. Don’t be tempted to swamp your frame in oversized clothes – you want to show off your small waist and sexy curves! But clothes that are too small will reveal all your lumps and bumps.
  • Wear the right underwear. The majority of women are still wearing the wrong bra size, and you want to show your chest off to its full potential so make sure you get yourself fitted! Invest in some ‘no visible panty line’ underwear, particularly if you’re wearing a figure-hugging dress.
  • Go for a jacket that’s the right length. If you’re taking a jacket, then choose one that’s waist-length as it’ll slim your frame. Avoid jackets that reach down further than your hips, as they’ll make your legs look shorter.
If you’ve perfected your wardrobe but you’re still looking for someone to take on a romantic day date, then why not try meeting people through an online dating site like eHarmony. It’s easy and free toget your personality profile and see who you’re matched with. Before you know it, you could be showing your gorgeous outfits off to someone special.

Kreepsville 666

Kreepsville 666 - feeding your need for horror orientated fashion and style. Fashion for all rock n roll zombies, ravenous dead girls and morbid monsters.

For years I've loved the creepy, kooky and devilish designs from Kreepsville 666. From the first moment I saw their 'DEADGIRL' necklace I knew we were a match made in heaven. As you know I'm a little bit of a horror movie addict so as soon as I see awesome accessories and spooky clothing it has to be mine!

So in true Teer style I wanted to add a element of pinup and my own way of styling to the items I needed to shoot.

Photobucket

Belt Torrid (sold out)

I wanted to show two ways of wearing this rocking tunic style mini dress. I'm really fond of items you can work into multiple styles and this Skeleton tunic doubles perfectly as a top under high waisted pencil skirts. Wearing a tagged size of XL this tunic dress fits like a glove, is super stretchy and so comfortable.

I paired this with my brilliant Perfect Pencil Skirt from PUG and I think the match works brilliantly with the super bright lime green in this skirt. I'm wearing the perfect skirt in a size XL and it's a great with a lot of give. I'd be interested to try the next size down as the fabric is so stretchy.

Photobucket

I also paired this with one of my stand out favorites pieces the black Skull Collection necklace.

Photobucket

How awesome is this piece? Chunky, stands out brilliantly with any outfit and also comes in purple, green, pink and white. It's clear now that I need one of each and pretty much every accessory in the KreepsVille webstore.

Now to show you the Skeleton Tunic as a dress!

Jay Jays Moto Jacket - $20.00  (sold out)

Wearing the tunic dress as an actually dress makes the bone print pop out even more so than when wearing it as a top. The print also comes in a variety of bright colours but I find the black skeleton style turns heads twice when people realize what it is.

This is a mini dress so it is short but it's a really good legnth. I'd wear this in summer and in the colour months with stockings. Then with the cooler months I'd layer this dress with cardigans or funky knits.

Photobucket

I paired this outfit with the Hell Razor Necklace - £18.00 shown bellow.

Photobucket

Bright, bloody and totally brilliant! The way this necklace cradles your neck is perfect. My favorite feature is the half and half colour of the chains. One side is red, the other black and it's one of my favorite colour combos.

You can find KreepsVille 666 online, via facebook, tumblr and twitter

Many thanks to Nic Doncon who took these images and the last few sets you've seen me post. He is an absolute gem and such a pleasure to work with! I can't wait to create some magic with him again in the future.

Miskonduct Klothing Review

Recently I was sent the most amazing dress from MisKonduct Klothing to review. Apon opening my perfectly presented package I swooned for this amazing vintage style, lush fabric.

Photobucket

Trashy Diva Sophia Dress - $179.99
Belt Torrid (sold out)

The Sophia dress is sophisticated as her name. 40's styling with a deep sweetheart neckline which is lightly gathered around the bust. It features a gorgeous bustle back made from the most divine quality cotton. This style is amazing but sadly I seem to have shrunk since it's arrival and it's now too big for my lower half.

I'm wearing this dress in a 14US but I think a 12 would be much more suitable as it swims at the bottom. Even this style has a A-line style skirt to it it just din't sit right on my curves. This could also easily be taken in by a tailor but I think a size down is the better option.

The construction of this dress is perfection, very flattering and perfectly suited to any occasion. I opted to wear my own belt for this shoot to make the garment fit my waist better.

Photobucket

So now that I know my size in this specific brand I will now have a better understanding of what to to pick next.

Now as it did not fit well on my lower half here is what you miss out on seeing, clicking the link to the garment via the webstore will show you the full length images though.
  •  Slight Aline skirt with a gathered bustle effect in back.
  •  Matching belt included.
  •  Back invisible zipper.
MisKonduct Klothing has now opened a physical store (the grand opening was yesterday) so if you are local get in and visit this brilliant store and spend, spend, spend! I can't wait to pop in on my next interstate trip. It looks like my idea of heaven!
