Little Creatures

A small update while I shoot new items and get lots of reviews ready for you guys.

Right now I seem to be addicted to purchasing rings. I have more rings than fingers yet I still keep picking up a few piece ever week.

My darling friend Danimezza tweeted a shot of these in gold not long ago so I've been hunting ever since.

This set of 3 rings all worn on the one finger are from Lovisa - $16.95.

Featuring a separate animal on each silver band this is one of the cutest pieces of jewelery I've ever seen. The Deer being my first love but the wolf and squirrel are equally as cute.

Sadly Lovisa don't have an online shop but you can find a listing off all their retail stores via the website.

More outfit posts next week!

Tempted by Curvy Kate

I am forever on the search for the perfect bra and with Curvy Kate I think I've nearly come close!

I noticed this brand a year or so ago and this year I finally got my hands on a bra. Curvy Kate are a UK brand that are taking the world by storm. Creating a beautiful selection of bra's with generous cup sizes, targeting those women who are just naturally blessed with a large chest. Curvy Kate offers a gorgeous collection of DD – K cup lingerie in brilliant designs and styles.

They aim to curvy women a wide choice of beautiful lingerie that fits and flatters their fabulous figure

The bra I wanted to show off to you my dear readers is the Tease Me in Black/Emerald Green. At first glance I fell in love with both the colour of this bra but the showgirl/burlesque style.

With great support, slightly padded cups, absolutely stunning details (the ribbons are so pretty) and thick straps this bra is a pretty much perfect. I'm wearing this design in a 14E but I would also like to try other sizes just to see if there is an even more perfect fit, if that's even possible.

This style comes int he following sizes: 28-30 DD-J, 32 DD-HH, 34 DD - H bras, 36 DD-GG, 38 DD-G with matching panties also available and other colours.

For all international stockists please find use this helpful Where to Buy search function located via the website. Prices on these bra's will vary depending on what store and what country you purchase from.

The pictures speak for themselves this bra looks divine, lifts and makes a beautiful shape. My only issues is that I'd like my chest to be pushed up a little more. I would like to try out the Temp Me Black Scarlet style in the future to see if it would give me the result I'm after.

For my Australian readers Curvy Kate Australia will be starting the 'Star In A Bra' modeling competition shortly so be sure to add them on Facebook and sign up for their newsletter so you can enter and become the Australian face and body of the company.

If you have a spare moment check out the interview I did not too long ago for the Curvy Kate blog here.

Black, White and Red

Daring to wear white for the first time in years!

I'm a cluts, I spill things, bump into everything and fall over my feet all the time. So when it comes to white I've always avoided purchasing garments in this colour as I was always scared I'd ruin them.

Then I saw this adorable Tripp NYC Jacket on Torrid and new I had to give white another chance.

Trip NYC White Moto Crop Jacket -$64.00US

The sun and a white jacket did not want to be friends this day so for full detailed image of the jacket and a video please click the link above.

I'm wearing this jacket in a size 0 and its a perfect snug fit! Its made of 97% cotton, 3% spandex so there is a little give and being a crop it really shapes around the bust and under bust nicely.

The arms are roomy and you could wear another layer under this with ease. I'm wearing a basic little black lace dress I picked up in Kmart with this just to show off how well easy this jacket is to style. I love that this is a moto jacket but its form fitting, most seem to be a very square shape but being a crop style it rally hugs me in all the right places.

Now with Torrid's sizing i'm a 0 or a 12, some styles can be a perfect fit others I may need to get tailored. Never worry about an items being a little too big though a great tailor can be your best friend. My tailor and my waist belt collection are my saviors!

I'd love this style to come in black, red, purple or green I'd buy them all!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Though I love the crisp whiteness of this jacket I feel as though I have to make it more me. So I've put in an order for a whole heap of studs and I will be going crazy with some spikey metal elements on the solders and and collar.

So once I've finished I will post some shots of what I've done to customize it.

Where is the red mentioned in the title? Well that would be on my head!

Thank you to Katherine Davis for her amazing work behind camera! I hope I can work with her many more times in the future!

Baby it's cold outside

For my readers here southern hemisphere I thought I'd feature my favorite winter coats this week. Two items I find every woman needs to combat the winter chills are a classic blazer and a trench coat. I go crazy in the the colder months for outerwear as you might notice but they are items that will last you for many years to come and are a sound wardrobe investment.

City Chic Leather Trim Blazer - $129.00AU
Sold out online due to the last two fantastic sales but still instore

Torrid Black and Grey Leopard Tonal Mini Skirt
- $38.50US

This blazer is the warmest item in my wardrobe at the moment. The corduroy and suede fabric is very soft and cosy and the pleather trim is my favorite feature, it really gives the jacket an edgy look.

Paired with the super cute black and grey leopard mini from Torrid and some thick stockings. The skirt is a size 0 and very stretchy and I find that I can wear it both shorter or closer to knee length by simply pulling it up or down. If pulled down to the hips its almost a really cute pencil skirt, I'd love to have this in lots of different prints and colours.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I'm wearing this in a size 14 and I find it much more roomy at the waist than my other City Chic jackets, but as you can see it was nothing a waist belt did can't fix! Blazers are so east to style be it like I've shown or with a graphic tee and your favorite skinny jeans.

Nickel Skull with Multi-Color Rhinestone Ring
- $14.00US

I'm always a sucker for skulls and when I saw this pop up on Torrid it had to be mine. This has an stretch band, I'm wearing a size 7/8 and i can fit it perfectly on my middle finger. If you look at the close ups on the website you will see it has multi-coloured rhinestones within the eyes, its really a great piece of funky costume jewelery. I've worn this ring every day since it arrived!

Carmakoma Skimmer Trenchcoat
- $231.39US
Dress - H&M

I've always been in love with Trench-coats, the simple classic cuts suit so many shapes but having a large chest I've not had much luck finding the perfect fit both in waist and bust.

Carmakoma have created the best trench for a curvy and plus size figure! The Skimmer is a classic trench with all trimmings made of 100% cotton and and features a high collar, loads of buttons, and a slimming a-line shape.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I'm wearing a XS in this jacket and it is a perfect fit, I can wrap the adjustable waist belt around twice but you can also find our other ways to secure the strap via the websites product shots.

I feel amazing in this coat, there is something so stylish yet effortless about the design. Either fully buttoned or open I love mixing and matching outfits with this. For more coat options from Carmakoma click here, the have stock sizes XS to L (US 12-22)

Thank you again to Katherine Davis for her amazing work behind camera! She is a dream to work with!

P.S

For my readers in the warmer area's of the world don't feel to left out! I shall be featuring some amazingly cute retro summer dresses in the next few weeks so check back every week.

Warm Pins with American Apparel

So after my success with the American Apparel Disco Pant I decided to try out the Ridding Pant as a more casual option. So I just whipped out the camera and thought I'd share the fit with you guys.

These can be worn either as leggings or pants depending on your comfort level. I've been wearing them as leggings to fight the cold here in Melbourne. But I would also team these up with a longer tunic in the warm months. I would not usually wear them with a shorter top but I wanted to show you exactly how they look.

The fit was surprising, for these you should go a size up, my waist is 33 inches and these are a very snug fit on my waist line. I'm wearing a size XL (I wear a L in the disco pant) and they are really comfy. The high waist and thick fabric really holds you in and is so warm for winter. I'm going to wear these with dresses and knee high boots as well, anything that you would usually wear leggings under works.

Riding Pant in Vintage Green - $74.00US

I've given into colour and added a few different shapes of green in this style also. The Vintage mixes with a lot of my summer florals but I'm still searching for a dress or tunic to go with the colour featured bellow.

Now American Apparel have both Australian and US webstores (plus a few more) so click the one that will suit you best. If you live in Melbourne we have a store in Chapel Street. I've listed these items from the US store as I am dealing with that store directly these days. The prices vary from country to country but you must remember shipping on top of the international prices.

The shoes I'm wearing are Jeffrey Campbell Lita's in Distressed Leather - $159.00US and I wear them to death, I need a few more pairs to complete collection.

Moto Madness!

Over the weekend I traveled down to Bendigo to shoot with one of my favorite Victorian Photographers Katherine Davis. Katherine is amazing when it comes to shooting in natural settings and with beautiful sunlight so I packed a suitcase full of all my items I need to show off for my blog and we snapped up a storm.

For a while Now I've been loving the styles that I've found at Hell Bunny and I've had my eye on this jacket for about 6 months. I wondered if I could pull off bright yellow plaid and now I don't think I should have ever doubted it!

Now Hell Bunny do not have an online store (you find them on facebook) but they stock many alternative shops you can find this jacket at the follow places : The Rock Collection for £24.99 this store as the largest collection i've found of Hell Bunny stock. Other stores you can find HB products are - Soho's, Too Fast Online and Sourpuss Clothing. All links will take you to the Hell Bunny Sections.

What better to team up this bright and surprisingly flattering moto jacket with than my favorite pants - Disco Pants from American Appreal - $122AU

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Then a plain black tank from Iron Fist Australia underneath, love the corset like lacing on this tank, I'm wearing this item in a Large. I can't find this on the online store anymore but you can find more tanks here and all are under $50!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The reason I love this jacket other than the brilliant bold colour is the fit. I'm wearing an XL and it really hugs my shape. I find with most moto/biker jackets they hit your chest then stay that shape. This curves around my waist and hips. It does not have stretch though so please reference your measurements against mine if you want this size.

Red and Yellow might just be a match made in heaven what do you guys think, provided i always have the sun shinning brightly behind me like this.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

To keep with the biker jacket look I wore the Ruff Rider Bootie from Iron Fist Australia - $109AU they are like mini studded, skull sparkled leather jackets and so comfy.

I would also like to welcome Iron Fist Australia as my one of my new Sponsors. You will see a lot more of their amazing items on here!

LinkImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

These booties have just arrived at Iron Fist Australia and no doubt will fly out the door very soon. They are high yet comfortable, have the most brilliant little skull details and can be worn all year round. Shoes on this site sell out fast so if you love these babies snap them up quickly! I wear a size 10 and these are a perfect fit with enough room to wear thick tights in the colder months.

Their designs win me over every season I have 8 pairs now and I'll never stop collecting them. Now I know the fit of the garments I'll be ordering some more tee's and tanks as well.

So thank you to the amazing Katherine Davis (check out her website and book if you are in Victoria) for working with me on some really amazing images. The next 3 post will feature her brilliant work behind the camera and I can't wait to share them with you.
