First I got the Ruby Rock Red Tye Dye Dress I've linked this before so I've been dying to test out the fit. The garment was true to size, I should have ordered down though due to the stretch jersey fabric. The colour of the fabric is a brilliant vibrant red its really a show stopping garment. I love the light weight fabric, the bat wing sleeves (though I'm not use to them yet) and the low cut at the front and back of the garment. The length is short so if your not game enough to flaunt your pins I suggest wearing this dress over jeans or with stockings in the cooler months. I teamed this up with my thick black wait belt but as you can see this has a black band just under the bust.

Accessorize with :

Since I started my blog I've posted links about the Black Faux Leather Aviator Jacket its one of my stand out favorite pieces of 2010 and I lives up to my expectations! This is perfect for my readers who are going through a big chill over the other side of the world.

This is jacket is a perfect winter staple I will be wearing this non stop in the colder months. Its a accommodating fit around the waist and bust and the sleeves can easily be pushed up or worn long. You can also detach the wool collar giving the jacket a completely different look. I love the big chunky zips so much, leather and metal are a match made in heaven.

Together these two garments absolutely rock!

Haunted Housewife Dress Review & Sneak Peak

I waited so many months for this dress all the way back to August when I showed the Fall/Spring preview so when I got word that it was online I bought it asap. I had been hunting for the last year for the most perfect shirt/swing dress and what luck Micheline Pitt had already created it.

This my lovely readers is now my favorite dress in my closet!

The Haunted House-wife Dress in Black Stretch Sateen with White Piping and white skull buttons - Could this be any more perfect? I am wearing an XL (sizes come in XS-2X) and its a perfect fit! It fits snugly but still has a little give. The arms are very fitted and have a small amount of stretch. If you own the Doris Top in an XL you will fit just like me in this dress. This dress is also made in Red with Black piping!

Skull Button Detail

It fits like a glove and really makes you feel fantastic, I've worn this out a few times and even on Christmas day, the full skirt cam in handy when I pigged out!

It actually comes with a matching belt but I'm not a fan of skinnier belts with my waist line so I took one of the many black belts I have from my other Pinup Girl Clothing dresses and I think it goes perfectly.

Teamed up with my Glamor Guts Pumps from Iron Fist Australia $112AU which I think match perfectly.

I also can't control my urge to twirl when I'm wearing this stunning dress.

I only got this a week before Christmas but sadly they have all sold out in both colours black and red. But if you add yourself to the waitlist they will email you as soon as they get more stock in. Myself and so many other girls were watching Pinup Girl Clothing's facebook page so we all snatched them up very fast.

Though sadly this dress has sold out you can add yourself to the waitlist so you can snap this dress up as soon as it returns. They also offer two other dresses that have a simular style that I adore just as much as this design.

The Birdie Dress :

in Royal Blue $118US

in Peacock Print $118US

Today Pinup Girl Girl clothing uploaded a sneak peak of new styles that will be arriving by the end of the month here is a sneak peak :

The Audrey Skirt in black and pink, I've been looking everywhere for a good swing/circle skirt so I can't wait for this to come out. This is teamed up with the Pinup Couture Boat Neck Top.

The Pinup Couture Gia Top - Wardrobe staple in lots of colour choices, I love the white and red most of all. Perfecly paired with the Pinup Couture Pencil Skirt in Black & White Pin Dot Sateen

The Doris Top - I can't put into words how amazing the fit is on this stunning item. Now a new colour to add to the collection, green always wins me over. Pinup Couture Pencil Skirt in Black Cherry Sateen is also super cute, i'm not a fan of cherries but it matches perfectly with the new doris top.

Rockabilly Retro from City Chic!

City Chic have released a new pinup/rockabilly inspired line for Summer 2011 and its so cute!! You know how much I adore pinup as a style and I've found the most perfect casual outfit all from City Chic! Click on the images for a larger view.

Bow Print Cardi $69.95
Pearl Bow Necklace $39.95
High Waist 4 Button Jeans (Sold out online check in store) $89.95

These jeans are perfect, I had the last high waist style that was released but they were a size too big and I could only wear them for a few weeks sadly. So when these popped up online I did a happy dance! They suck everything in, hold you in nice and tight and elongate your legs. I have a slight obsession with anything high waisted so these had to be mine! The dark blue rinse is very flattering as well.

Its a basic little rockabilly casual look for me really I love either wearing this outfit with super high heels or little ballet flats.

The Bow Cardigan is a perfect fit, its for fitting around the bust when buttoned up but has lots of give. I'm wearing this in a XS and the jeans a 14. I've been wearing the cardie non stop all week with dresses and other sets of tops and jeans, its so easy to mix and match. The top underneath is a bodysuit i got from Jeans west last season, I find they work so much better with high waisted garments.

Then to top it off a adorable pearl bow necklace, what's rockabilly/pinup without pearls?

My next mission is to work the oh so cute bobby socks and pumps look they have bellow. I've adore socks with heels so I'm on the look out for the perfect outfit to match it.

So make sure you check out the new range they have so many cute vintage inspired pieces to suit a more curvy shape!

Also check out the behind the scenes clip for the new look book. It's fantastic and I wish I was on set for this shoot!

Carmakoma Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook

This week I got to see the new look-book for the Spring/Summer Collection 2011 from Carmakoma and I wanted to share my favorite items with you. I had seen the a glimpse of the range via their Boost Your Carma film floating around the internet and I've been dying to see the items in more detail.

How much do you want to be in this film! I can't explain why but I adore it, the styling used, the blonde bombshell model and the whole feel has me swooning.

They are back with a brilliant colour pallet of pale baby blue, grey, beige browns, stunning white and the standard black which we all love them for. Ranging from simple items you can base multiple outfits on to statement garments.

My wish list for the new Spring/Summer range :

I love the shape, the high waist and ruffle detail. Pair this with a plain black bodysuit or tank and it would be the perfect for a night out. I want the black pumps featured with all of these outfits too.

Military designs how you win me over every time. Its all in the button details for me, this has to be in my closet asap!

High waist pants - Check, Heaps of detail - Check! These are so funky and very rock chic which is by far my favorite style day in and day out. The waist will suck you in and hide the tummy while elongating your legs. I love the extra buttons on the front they create a visual illusion of a slimmer figure. As you can see in many of the other images they also look great under dresses or tunics doubling as leggings.

This can either be worn as a jacket or a dress, I would be willing to do both. Simply perfect tailoring, funky panels, cute neckline and a large zip make this item easy to work with so many different outfits. I would get my favorite boots in winter and wear this with nothing but black stockings!

Every curvy woman needs a winter coat in this style. Its simple, sleek and so classic. This trench is a winter must have!

To see the whole look book click here

I'm between sizes at the moment for this brand (the joys of dieting - not) but in the past I've worn both S and XS and found the fit to be true to the size chart. When I get my hands on some items in this new range I will do an in-depth review regarding fit.

Carmakoma is a brilliant brand with unique and fashion forward designs, be sure to check out their website and facebook page.

I can't wait to these items come online so make sure you check back on here and via Carmakoma Group Page on Facebook, i will make sure i update when they are in store. Until then pick up a piece or two from their sale section.

So many clothing reviews will be coming up this week, sorry for being so quiet but the silly season got hectic!

Summer Style

Now that Melbourne is seems to have finally figured out its summer time I'm thinking about what I want to add to my wardrobe over the next few months. Pieces that can work with both through the scorching heat we will have and then move into Autumn.

While web window shopping I've found the following.

ASOS Sheer Pocket Shirt Dress £25.00

I want to wear this over all my black jeans and shorts with big chunky heels

ASOS Jersey Pencil Skirt £20.00

Simple wardrobe staple that can be worn with anything! This also comes in a brown shade

Petite heart pussybow blouse
£29.50

This summer I'm made about sheer light weight tops, this is a very sweet print and I love the features pussy bow.

Back in Black Denim Skirt from 17Sundays $89.95

I've never owned a denim skirt so this year I will invest in one. 17 Sundays is a new Australian plus size label who I will be reviewing in he future so look out for my updates.

Alisi Nadia Black 1 Piece $179.00

I have 3 swimsuits but none of them are black - shock horror! This one piece I have been lusting over for a long time now. Its perfect for any curvy woman who does not want to show her arms while swimming. I would also team this up with high waisted jeans and shorts and wear this as a bodysuit.

I can't forget some vital and very cute accessories as well.

Dorothy Perkins Khaki loop through waist belt £4.00

I need to add other colour belts to my collection as I want to to mix and match with lighter floral's and more earthy tones. This belt is perfect for that and so cheap!

What's your summer style? What will you be wearing over this these oh so hot months we have coming up?
