Just wanted to wish all my lovely readers a very Happy Halloween, I hope everyone got to dress up and have one spooky night in or out. I'm off to watch horror movies and curl up on the couch - the fun never stops here - lol. Sadly in Australia we are behind in the concept of Halloween. No matter how much I wanted to have a party the day fell on a Sunday and there was nothing to do.
So what is your costume this year? What fun did you get up to?
I promise multiple updates this week also! I've been shopping at Pinup Girl Clothing, Torrid and more. I'm doing a few shoots so I shall update you on the goodies I've been buying very soon.

As the weekends get warmer in Melbourne I find myself hunting for more frocks to wear over our sure to be blistering summer.
The more I shop though the harder it is to find a summer dress that is a good length. Its like all standard shops have decided this summer everyone's bum should be on public display. No matter how much I'm fond of my toosh I do think that a cute summer dress should at least hit just above my knees and not let the whole of the world see my draws.
These are what I currently have my eye on online. They can also work for my readers across the globe just team them up with boots and tights for a colder climate.
My recommendation for each of these dresses - wear a thick waist belt that suits each of these fabrics/styles and some killer pumps with shorter dresses, flats with the maxi's.

Last month I did a shoot with the lovely and very talented Caitlin Jane McColl featuring the designs of Sprinkle Emporium. A Melbourne based clothing designer who create absolute magic. Hair and makeup by Ashleigh Mitchell the location of this shoot is the fantastic Charlies Bar in Melbourne.
I've seen their design's via facebook and swooned over the lush fabrics, amazing cuts and yummy prints so when the chance to model them came up how could I say no!
I adore a good wrap dress and I have to say this store has some of the most amazing wrap dresses I have ever seen. I wore 3 while shooting and they are an absolute dream on.

The Greta Wrap Dress in Black/leopard all items are a size 16 Australia. If i could have taken this dress home with me I would be wearing it right now and living in it. Perfect fit, falls beautifully and makes my curves pop. I'm in love with this!
Cassandre Wool Wrap Top in Wine. With the same sweetheart neckline and the wrap effect this is a perfect winter staple. The small details are what win me over - the neckline features, the cuff/sleeves and the pleats that fall beautifully on one side of the top when you wrap it. It hugs the shape of my hips and looks amazing.
This is Jazz Moderne woollen jacket in black/powder with matching skirt(not shown) I'm wearing a 16 in this design and its a perfect fit! I could snuggle up to this jacket forever.
The oh so sexy Zsa Zsa Wrap Dress in Leopard, perfection! I'm a real sucker for leopard print and the black accents with the sweetheart neckline amazing for large chests.
A while back I showed my favorite items from Carmakoma , I adore their online store so much and really wanted to know how they would look on my shape.
So I browsed the stunning new stock and picked two items to slip into a less than a week later a package was at my door - now how is that for shipping!
Carmakoma designs and produces clothes for curvy women in sizes 14-24. Quoted from their facebook page 'Our style is contrasted – a mix of rock’chick coolness and feminine sweetness. So out I went with the fantastic Michael Alesich (who is brilliant) into the heart of the city and road tested the fantastic designs.
First I slipped on the Moss Dress made from a soft silky jersey size XS I'm wearing this with black tights and the Rollercoaster Belt I also put my favorite bow belt on and it worked very well too. Click on the images for a larger view.
The fit is perfect around the chest, arms and waist. It falls beautifully and i love the details on the shoulders. I must admit this is a little to short for me to wear as a dress but with the right tights you can rock this as a dress or team it up over jeans and wear it as a tunic.

Then for some real rock chic action the Agyness Skirt!
How i love every little detail on this skirt. From the studs, the leather look fabric to the folds and shapes in the fabric. I've never thought about wearing a mini skirt before but I'm actually comfortable in this. Its lined also which is great and I'm wearing a S in this as my hip measurement was a tad to big for the XS. Its a little roomy around the waist but I will get a tailor to take it in during the week.
So I'm very happy with my Carmakoma goodies and I can't wait to slip into some more designs.

I just came across a set of portraits taken of Crystal Renn on Fashion Gone Rouge and this stuck out the most to me.
Now I know someone will most likely complain about me featuring her and if i write the term plus size model all hell will break loose. But sorry in the industry this woman is plus size plain and simple so deal with it.
Why do I love her so much? Because she is a stunning looking woman firstly but she also brings what we need on the runway - Health. She has boobs, curves and weight on her body. She is tall and more slender now yes but put her next to a size 0 model and you will see what I'm talking about. I'd love to see women all Crystal's size on the runway.
She brings forth change no matter how thin or large she may be and that is a fantastic concept to me.
I recently saw a post on an online group where they were talking about big beautiful women. When someone posted a picture of a model who was a size 10 US or possibly at 12US people started complaining because they model was not obese. Really world what is going on?
I recently wrote about just how vital foundation garments are when your styling an outfit, in my mind they are needed for smooth lines and great shape.
